In tandem with the improved dashboard we announced here is an option for tracking user views of specific announcements you post within your account. When administrators create announcements (through the “Toolbox” click “Announcements”) they will now have the option of checking a box “Asking Users to Acknowledge” the announcement. For these announcements, users will have the option on their dashboard to mark the announcement as read. This will create a report for administrators to see when the user saw the announcement. This will be helpful in tracking time sensitive information posted in the announcements area as you try to communicate about your mapping goals.
